News flash - Gautam Gambhir has spilled the beans to BCCI.
He's eyeing none other than a former RCB star as Team India's Bowling Coach. Exciting, right?
Gambhir, the fierce player, has landed the coveted role of head coach for team India courtesy of BCCI. They're counting on his "tenacity and leadership" to fill the big shoes left by the remarkable Dravid. But wait, there's more!
Changes are afoot in the coaching. Gambhir is keen to bring in his own crew, starting with Abhishek Nayar from Kolkata Knight Riders and reportedly ex-Indian cricket player R Vinay Kumar as the bowling coach.
Word on the street is that Gambhir has already put forth these names to BCCI for consideration. With his coaching gig kicking off with the Sri Lanka series, time is ticking for BCCI to act on Gambhir's picks.
The 42-year-old Gambhir, a shoe-in for replacing Dravid post his noteworthy run at T20 World Cup, expressed his absolute delight in serving his country yet again. The man is pumped about steering Team India towards success.
And guess what? His debut assignment as coach will be leading the squad during their tour of Sri Lanka featuring three T20Is and ODIs each starting this July.
Let's give a huge shoutout to Rahul Dravid and his team for their stellar performance. But now, it's Gambhir's time to shine under the guidance of Cricket Head VVS Laxman.
