Argentina defeated Colombia 1-0 in the final of the 48th edition of the Copa America at the Hard Rock Stadium in Florida on Monday morning.
Lautaro Martinchel scored the decisive goal for Argentina in the 112th minute from the pass of Giovanni Lo Solso. Lautaro and Lo Solso both entered the field in the 97th minute.
The match went into extra time after both teams failed to score in the stipulated 90 minutes. Lautaro, the top scorer of the ongoing Copa, became the hero. This is his fifth goal in the competition.
Argentina's captain and superstar Lionel Messi left the field in the second half due to injury. He was replaced by Nicolas Gonzalez in the 66th minute.
